And so another day of chrimbleness has passed (sigh). I Had ever such a good time though. The whole family was here at some point; Me, mum, dad, kage, fozz, vic, eli, david, john, jack and greg, so it was pretty packed, but it was brilliant. Mum excelled herself, as usual, and the dinner was fab, i swear to god though by the end of the day i could barely walk- everyone just sat about talking and drinking, which was ridiculously funny, seeing as Jack very quickly got very drunk, and was insisting the entire time he was fine, even though every sentence he said seemed to mysteriously mesh together, and he kept giggling at nothing. He kept talking about Jim Bean, which then turned into his old friend 'JB' and to be honest none of us knew what he was talking about- i reckon by about 9:30pm neither did he.
David and Greg came and left, but not before he promised us a display of awesome remote controlled car-ness, which fell a bit flat when the car kept starting, and then it would move about a foot and then just stop, which was funny the first two times but after that got a bit boring, and it was very cold outside, so i just went back in and sat with Kage, who had developed an addiction to Mario Kart- this was impressive seeing as it was about 10am and she had unwrapped her DS and game at 9:15am. It was very funny to watch however because she kept muttering and swearing at the screen- it was brilliant
Vic and Eli turned up, and eli was so excited it was so cute- he opened all his presents, of which his fave was this police car that drove about when you pushed a button and made all these siren noise- i have to admit i found myself playing with it too, it was pretty cool- and then we all just sat about watching National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, which we do pretty much every year, simply because it's bloody hilarious =]
Dinner came about, and Kage cracked out the collection of false moustaches Jodie bought her, and we all sat there, facial hair abound, and took some amazing photos which i might post up later. It was so funny, fozz had one glass of wine and got tiddly which was hilarious because of the magnitude of light-weightedness he revealed. Me and vic couldn't stop laughing. The crackers, the jokes and the 'presents' inside were all crap, which made it extra brilliant, and eli proceeded to pull off all of our hats and rip them up- he didnt like them
The rest of the afternoon was basically spent sitting about, playing with eli, laughing at jack and watching crap tv- it was fab
The Doctor Who christmas special was AMAZING, and i'm so happy that after 2 years of having to admit it that the christmas episodes are usually shite i can finally say that =] it was so good, but it just reminded me that Tennant's gonna be leaving, which sucks to the max extremity of sucking. had i been drunk, i probably would've cried- true story.
My presents are fab, here be a list here be;
-The 2 follow up books to Twilight, New Moon and Eclipse (so you know what i'll be doing the first week of term =])
-a box of Lush =]
-Jaws special 2 disc edition (GET IN!!)
-Karl Lagerfeld perfume (which smells incredible)
-£50 (from relatives and do-gooders)
and the best present ever, which i blatantly wasn't expecting;
-DOCTOR WHO SERIES THREE BOXSET!!!!
i couldn't believe it - it made me a very very happy lassie mcgee =] =] =] =] =] =] =]
David Tennant and John Simm on the same DVD? who wouldn't be ecstatic??
Alas no woody doll- mum and dad said they tried desperately to find them, but apparently you can't actually buy them in the UK anymore, which makes me =[ . i've always wanted a woody doll, but i spose i'll have to make do with the film for now . god that makes me sound ungrateful...eep....
And now i'm spending my money on DVDs, which also makes me happy. or, as mum calls them "a waste of time and money". i better go now, because i just realised how long this blog is now, and everyone is having dinner, although i don't know how they can eat after yesterday!!!
i hope you had a fab christmas too
mucho lovo
