Oh my god.
Apparently, in the next series of 'Doctor Who' (Series 5) they're getting rid of every single reference to the Russel T Davies series' of yore. and they literally do mean everything.
They are planning on destroying the TARDIS. And replacing it with something completely different.
Let me just say that again, cos even i don't quite believe it;
They are getting rid one of the most recognisable Ships (Death Star must be THE MOST, surely) in modern science Fiction, and changing it.
THEY ARE GETTING RID OF THE TARDIS.
IT'S NOT EVEN FUCKING RUSSEL T DAVIES TO GET RID OF!!!!!IT'S THE ONLY THING THAT IS EXACTLY THE SAME THROUGHOUT EVERY SERIES OF DOCTOR WHO EVER!!!
EVER!!IN A SHOW THAT USES CHANGE TO IT'S ADVANTAGE THE ONE THING THAT HELPED KEEP FANS LOYAL WAS THE KNOWLEDGE THAT EVEN THOUGH THE DOCTOR HAD CHANGED HIS TRANSPORTATION WOULD ALWAYS BE THE SAME!!!!!
HE DIDN'T CREATE THE TARDIS- THEREFORE HE SHOULDN'T BE ALLOWED TO WRITE IT OUT OF A SHOW IT HELPED MAKE!!!BEFORE RUSSEL T DAVIES WAS EVEN AROUND!!!!!
What with the utter shitness of the Easter Special, and all previous christmas specials (bar 2 of them. but wtf were you thinking with a flying nuclear Titanic? it's a joke.) and now this news, i am VERY VERY VERY close to pulling a Tim and burning all of my Doctor Who Memorabilia (although his was Star Wars stuff. Same difference.)
If this is the case, and they are, not only replacing David Tennant but also getting rid of the TARDIS then i can, hand on heart promise that i will not watch Doctor Who anymore. because it would no longer be the show i know and love.
And i don't care how frigging amazing Steven Moffat is. If he and Russel T Davies pull this shiz off, then they will have lost a hardcore fan before the ads for the new series even appear.
Pfft. What a joke.
