Pretty Boy

I just wrote this about 10 minutes ago, after a sudden urge to write something, anything down. It's a first draft, so feedback is welcome :)

Are you scared, Pretty Boy?

Sing a song, roll the words from your tongue,

Pretty Boy; Lay low

Feel the ground, inch by inch

less than the the sky that surrounds,

breathe deep, Pretty Boy

Granite slips on rubber souls

Are you scared Pretty Boy?

The thread will move the way you make it,

come loose or tighten either way

Lay Low, Pretty Boy

The Motion ends the pulse begins

the timing's off, hold still

Pretty Boy.

They'll not be found.

Manic, stricken, panic, lust

feel it catch in your throat, catch,

as it flies from your feet

cored as a whole

Are you scared, Pretty Boy?

Lay Low.

nameless poem. So called because it has no name. although i 'spose it's name is "nameless poem" now (stoptalking)

I could wait (you know I would)
for decades just to hear, you (should) say it,
thinking it would be the thing that gets me through the day.
But, how well we know, impossible things are just that;
moments in time, that will never occur ,
(not for me, but for her)
fabrications of occasions, lists of things I find amazing,
run from A-Z, like Road maps or phone books
(Fed up of ringing off the hook)
from the very point of every bone
through the beating muscle of every part.
And here I sit...waiting (for a change of heart?) for new breaths to start
faltering, as if by chance,
perhaps a memory will spark?
What was broken will remain, (But, then you’ve always stayed the same)
what comes of it is...
still too far away.

Random Poem Yay

I literally just wrote this poem in under 10 minutes, and i really like it so i thought i'd put it on here for the world to see!!...well, i say world i mean my parents, friends back home, friends from here and any other randoms who stumble across it in their boredom =]

It doesn't have a title by the way cos i can't think of one =]

The night's a funny colour
all dusky, orange, tinged
with false identity
like the glow from the street lamps
that shines and mocks the distant sun.
The streetlamps, they hide
the real colour of the night-
they hide the stars too though i wish they wouldn't.
The first star gives you a wish before
it's joined by the others and
disappears into the mass
no longer lonely, now completed, no longer special, now the same.
As special as any other star could be.
The breeze smells faintly of the wet grass and
petrol as a car speeds past and
scares the rabbit by the road.
The smell rolls through my window,
open and forgotten,
and snakes under my curtains to find my face,
my nose, my mouth
and tickle my lashes.
I restfully nudge the pillow beneath my sleeping head,
a soft moan escaping as i turn
away from the cold towards my room where
the light of my alarm
seeps through my closed eyes and tricks my dreams
becoming part of the adventure.

The alarm light turns to the beams of the speeding headlights
And I am the rabbit, disturbed in my peace.

i really like it-Yayness for random poetry shizzle =]

nite nite
